Department of Civil and Structural Engineering
Sir Frederick Mappin Building
I obtained my Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the Autonomous University of Yucatan (Mexico) in 2012, focusing on structural engineering. During my bachelor I worked on the dynamic behaviour of structures with a single degree of freedom under lateral loads induced by wind tunnel. After graduation and unitll 2014, I worked in Mexico in private sector and more specifically I was for a project manager engineer for construction company.
I am currently enrolled in the Structural and Construction Engineering MSc degree at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain) where I am working on the design of partially prestressed concrete beams with FRP bars as nonprestressed reinforcement. My Research Internship was funded by National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACYT).
