Thanongsak Imjai is a visiting researcher under the British Council Newton Fund (Researcher Link 2015) in the Concrete and Earthquake Engineering Research Group at the Dept. of Civil and Structural Engineering of The University of Sheffield (UK). Dr Imjai obtained his BEng at Nottingham University (2001), MSc at Cardiff University (2002) and PhD at Sheffield University in 2007.
From 2007 to 2010, Dr Imjai joined the Internation Engineering Consultants Ltd (Thailand) as a project manager in the Asset and Forensic Management Division.
In 2010, Dr Imjai was appointed Lecturer in Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering at Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok, Thailand and he was subsequently promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2015.
Dr Imjai is a structural engineer with an interest in solving complex engineering problems in the structural assessment area using advanced composite materials. His research interests cover: Fibre Reinforced Composite, Structural Dynamics, Structural Strengthening, Soil-Structure Interaction and the use of Life Cost Cycle Assessment (LCCA) in Civil Engineering Application.
