Printing Concrete in 3D

Mechanical engineering student Alex Le Roux designed and built a wood-framed, 3D concrete printer that measures 8 by 8 by 8 feet and cost him $2,500. It can print about 2 inches of concrete per second at about one-quarter-inch thickness. He hopes the next iteration will be speedier and capable of printing a small house. Read more
